    Job description

    A small and growing consultancy who are delivering cutting-edge data solutions for high-profile clients, are now looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join their talented delivery team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a modern data stack - including Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Python, and SQL - on impactful projects that power reporting, automation, predictive analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

    This role is fully remote, and is therefore open to candidates across the UK.

    This role would be well-suited to someone with a self-starter mentality, who wants to be part of company that is growing and maturing whilst continually learning.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Designing and building robust data pipelines using SQL, dbt, and Python within Snowflake
    * Developing scalable, testable, and maintainable code
    * Collaborating with analytics, product, and client teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
    * Supporting the development of data products like dashboards, APIs, and predictive models
    * Driving automation and operational efficiency through data tooling
    * Contributing to internal best practices and agile delivery processes

    Experience required:

    * Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer
    * Strong experience with Snowflake
    * Hands-on experience with dbt
    * Proficiency in Python and SQL
    * Solid understanding of Git and development lifecycle best practices
    * Experience integrating APIs or working with event/log data streams
    * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    * Experience with AWS would be highly desirable
    * An interest in AI

    Benefits:

    We're working up with a growing technology consultancy who specialise in Cyber Security, Data & AI within the public sector space.

    They've had a fantastic 18 months with lots of positive expansion and with this in mind they're looking for Lead Data Scientist to join their Public Sector team delivering to their enterprise clients.

    They'd like you to be the Data Science SME where you'll be responsible for leading e2e customer engagements in both a hands off and hands on capacity.

    The role itself has 2 main parts to it which are important:

    1. A commercial and consulting mindset - being able to explain how, what and why data is working in the way it's working to customers and them understanding your approach

    Overview

    We are looking for a Data Manager who has experience of core Data Governance related work. The Data Manager has the primary responsibility in supporting the Group Head of Data Management. This includes the overall client engagement and quality assurance of the work of the team completing the work. The Data Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the clients stakeholders, oversight of all deliverables, ensure alignment with the clients Data Strategy and clients Group Data Policy, and steer the execution of the work plan. This role also provides strategic guidance on data governance practices and ensures the integration of technical efforts with business priorities.

    The scope of the work includes:

    * Transition of an existing instance of Informatica Cloud Data Governance Catalogue (CDGC), to an enterprise deployment, including the configuration and implementation across the Business Units.
    * Oversight of the discovery of Data Documentation, related metadata, Data Quality and Reference data.
    * Supporting any other prioritised work or project support from the Group Data team.
    * Potentially supplementing Business Unit data teams in the execution of Data Management activities.

    The Data Manager will have excellent communication skills and can adapt to an ever-changing landscape. This will involve working with the Data Leaders in the Business Units to get a better understanding of both the Data Users community, as well as the teams and key subject matter experts utilising data for critical outcomes. The role has significant exposure to the existing Data teams and Data Leaders in the Business Units.

    Responsibilities

    * Support the Group Head of Data Management in planning and execution.
    * Primary point of contact for the client's stakeholders.
    * Oversight of all deliverables, ensure alignment with the client's Data Strategy and Group Data Policy.
    * Steers the execution of the work plan.
    * Facilitate stakeholder workshops, building a valuable relationship with our Data Leaders.
    * Collaborate with other team members to ensure quality and timely delivery.
    * Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

    Requirements and Experience

    * At least 5 years of experience as a Data Manager, working with the business is essential
    * Data Governance execution experience is essential
    * Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
    * Must be able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
